How Does Net Meter Works?
The single-phase meter measures the rate of production in watts. It has 3 displays: 1st test screen, 2nd Power taken from the grid, and 3rd power injected into the grid. Customers only billed for their NET energy use. Only 20-30% of the energy produced by a Solar System, goes into the grid. Net metering policies and rates vary by state.
